An experienced chef and consultant, Robin worked for many restaurants and catering companies in northeastern Pennsylvania and Charleston, South Carolina, during the 1980s. In 1988, she left the restaurant business and rededicated her life to promoting and teaching gourmet vegan cooking. The author of 17 vegan and vegetarian cookbooks, Robin Robertson is a 25-year veteran restaurant chef, caterer, columnist, cooking teacher, and food writer. She writes "The Global Vegan" column for VegNews Magazine and was a contributing editor and columnist for Vegetarian Times. She has also written for Cooking Light, Natural Health, Better Nutrition, Health, and Restaurant Business, and other magazines. Robin Robertson has the professional experience in classic, contemporary, international cuisines to show you how to make the family favorites you grew up with and learn some exotic new ones, too. In 2007, Robin founded Vegan Heritage Press with her husband, Jon Robertson. Their first title, Vegan Fire & Spice: 200 Sultry and Savory Global Recipes was published in January 2008. Robin lives in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley with her husband Jon and their cat Gary and Gary's cat Mitzi.
